I have read Kathleen E. Woodiwiss. I read.... let me think... Ah yes, It was The Reluctant suitor I read historical romance too. What I dont like about those books those is the bloody ton. Everyone always worries about scandals. Personally I like the ones about scotland and vikings.

The Reluctant Suitor was a disappointment, her earlier works are so much better. The Flame and The Flower, The Wolf and The Dove, Shanna and Ashes in the Wind are excellent.

I agree with you Jackie though its not often I agree. For the record with Silly and Sky I agree with Silly. Anyways the book was ok but I did not by any others because the Reluctant Suitor did not really catch my attention.

I agree with Jackie. Woodiwiss's older books are much better. I can't get into the new one.

I really liked the flame and the flower but there is a sort of rape scene in the beginning so that might put you off at first.

Yeah, he had been out to sea for months so his men brought him a prostitute, only it turns out she was not. She thought the men were sent by her uncle or the police that is why she went with them. Of course he makes it up to her later on in the book and I am not telling anymore. lol
