Yes. Having the Dragonseeker blood gives you the mark I think.
And I remember it was said wizards and CArpathians were allies and learned from each other. Rhiannon was Xaviers pupil for a time ( Dragonseekers seam to have some magic abilities too - remember Dimitri in Dark Demon helping Natalya undo the trap even being catched and burned). But the wizards die. And Xavier wanted to have eternal life and misused his powers to gain it. Having power can make you turn bad, I think Traian mentioned it. But it isn´t said that all wizards are evil - think of Natalya. Probably the others really hide.
We will soon learn more.

The thing is, how does it react with the wizard blood? What exactly could a wizard do? Are they Superior to the Carpathians?
