i didnt warm up to rafael until he cried but im still witholding judgment on monolito. I like Myrrhas explanation a lot better even though it is a little deep for letting someone in your house.

Myrrhas explanation sounds well-thought for me and it fits into the scheme.
And, girls, really ... I liked Dark Secret! Yes! And Rafael is not that bad! Sure, he is very dominating but just read again the parts when its told about his feelings for Colby ... and he really was willing to sacrifice everything for her ... and in the end looked well after Ginny and Paul. Read Dark Celebration ...
Similar to Manolito ... they are so desperated (and yes, they are very dominating that I donĀ“t deny and they need something bunched over their head at times), they just act on instinct, I think.
And just imagine how Zacarlas will be! Huuu!
;-)
You now, I just have a ... for the De La Cruz Brothers.

He wasn't willing to sacrifice himself to the dawn for her. He could have chosen to do that instead of forcing things on her. Not that I wanted him to make that choice but he seemed to care a little bit more about himself then her. I know a lot of people like him and I did by the end but it was very hard to get through the beginning and middle of the book.

he would of came around quicker if we were there to hit him with the 2x4 but Colby handled him.

But who would have held the smelling salts?
I think MaryAnn will soon be able to knock him into shape, either with a 2x4 or her charms - probably the latter at first! And at least she can recycle that Christmas tree ;D

LOL. Maryann would probably lecture him about the emotional abuse he was giving her. LOL, that would be hilarious.

He'd have to distract her in some way to shut her up...(goes off in a daydream...)!! Could be worse, I suppose - MaryAnn could be giving emotional advice to Gregori

I agree with some of you on dark secret. i read it and liked the end but i still am not a big fan of raphael. i loved colby though she was a great character. She was probably the only reason i got through it becasue i wanted her to whip his but into shape so bad!! but i do want to see the other brothers stories to see if they do anything differently. Monolito might be hard to get through but i am just as pumped. i really want to hear zachariah's story he was so demanding in riordiann's story. i agree with delphine though i have a serious crush on the de la cruz brothers! so dark and rebelious! hmm i guess i have a thing for the bad guys... probably why i cant committ to a good relationship, the bad boys are not the kind of boys you want to be the father of your children, they kind of suck at bing good dads.. you know with the whole being bad part... lol whatever any of that meant?!?! lol

LOL. Regular bad guys turn out to be bad dads but Carpathians do not until it comes to daughters then they get horrible. LOL

Hey some reformed bad boys make great dads. You just have to be very very sure they are reformed. They still have that little bit of bad boy in them but they know what matters in life.

I think I would go crazy if I had an over protective carpathian father. I mean it was bad anouf that my two younger brother we somewhat protective of me.
