such a simple task... and then

Ok, I just have to bring this up... I am sure this has happened to alot of us at some point...

I was taking max to school today and he said he was hungry and of course we are in the car and I have no food on me... so we get in the parking lot and I looked in my purse and found a baggie with 2 cookies left in it that was caitlyns from a couple days ago....ok, so now he had something to eat....even if it was just something little to hold him over until snack time in school..

so I get home and think, ok, I am going to grab one of my bigger purses to switch over so that I can keep a few more snacks on hand.... sounds reasonable for things like this situation.

so I start to go through my closet to find this one I had in mind... which was a small task... and then I pulled out a bunch of tote bags and things I had...and some of my summer clothes I eventually want to get to... still simple!!

then I go through this one small tote that has papers in it....only to find it is caitlyns important papers and half of Maxs papers.... so I think where is the other papers.... now the search begins...

I have a small house and you would not believe how many areas I have piles of papers for this or that....

I go thru his school papers... and medical papers... and of course I am not putting anything back until I find what I am looking for...

now I remembered that I needed to make copies of Maxs papers for the state for his insurance... so I find the insurance papers... and I find his. (now I also had my papers sent in too so they were together at the time)....now I have caitlyns and maxs, only now I cant find mine!!!

I now have piles of papers everywhere... along with summer clothes all over my bed... and pictures everywhere too since I seem to have piles of them everywhere too....LOL

Now I really have to clean the house... and I REALLY REALLY need to get organized....

this has been my goal for the year --my new years resolution that I told myself that I would work on this year.... but I started and thought I was doing well....I guess not... I need to get more organized!!! ;D

I just needed a break really and I thought I would come on here and vent it out a bit.... LOL, I have to leave soon to get max and then I can come back and start cleaning and looking for my stuff again.

Been there done that. I usually put our papers in the file cabinet but when I am in a hurry they go in one of 4 desk drawers or in my bill holder or on the printer. LOL We did get a fireproof safe for the birth certificates and stuff like that. You might want to think about doing that too. It is safe and handy to find. LOL Good luck getting more organized!

thats what I was thinking too... I need a fireproof safe for that info... I thought of that while I was looking for everything and that they should be put somewhere safe like that.

Its going to take me a bit to get organized... I may have just started a project I really wasnt ready for....LOL

I am hoping that with this new project we are doing on the house... our room.... that I will be able to get another room organized along with myself.... you know, like actually find homes for the things that need homes....LOL

well right now everything is scattered from the back door to the front....walking paths, and nothing is in order...so when we get done and things start going back... should be a peice of cake.....LMAO!!!

lol. I wish i could be as brave as you are and try to tackle all the papers and the pictures that are in the desk and my bedroom and other places.. but that would be a little crazy. I would be trapped in the house if i did that.. lol

it really has to be done and we have to start somewhere so at least maybe by time we are close to being done with this project we will be that much closer to being organized. LOL

you should see my house... a walking path in the kitchen... the living room has piles of clothes everywhere... and you cant even get out my back door....LOL its crazy....but then when working on a project this big in the house it is bound to be messy!! LMAO
