;)Children are smarter than we give them credit for. My Dad thinks my 3 year old granddaughter cannot understand hardly anything and I tell him she probably understands more than he does, lol.

Oh I know kids are smarter then we think they are. My doughter is 1 1/2 yrs old and she understands quite a bite.

My 1 1/2 yr old niece, is quite astonishing, she trys out many things that she watches her brother(3yrs) does, and on occasion does better than he.

I read somewhere that between the ages 1-5 kids are literaly sponges and can absorb more knowledge than an adult.

My son is 9 and is in the gifted program and he is taking German this year. The gifted kids took French last year and will be taking Spanish next year. He is excited about taking Spanish. My middle child is also in the gifted program, she is 8. I would not be surprised if the youngest gets into the program too in the next year or so. I have a feeling I am going to be in big trouble in a few years. LOL They are way too smart sometimes.

Half the stuff my kids are learning is stuff I have trouble helping them with. I don't remember doing most of it. LOL They are only in elementary, what am I going to do when they are in middle and high school!!!

In about five years I will have a ninth grader, a seventh grader and a fifth grader. Plus my husband is Navy so I will be doing a lot of the school stuff by myself. LOL Love those long cruises. NOT!

Well in 2 yrs. I'll be getting ready for college *gasp* and my sis will be in 6th grade. I help her with her homework so I can't wait to see how she will do w/o me here!
