I've always liked books better than the movies but it is also neat to see a book come to life. I wouldn't want a gory vampire movie or scary. But if they left that stuff out and just made it a romance based on the books I would think it would be a hit.

Unlikely. Hollywood has a tendency to OVER-dramatize. I don't think they could EVER do any of the Dark series justice. Nope - not even close. They would want the blood - lots of it.

Afraid your right. But if they did do one justice, it would be neat to see what actors get to play as the carpathian characters we all love.

Actors: They would have to get unknowns. I can't imagine any "popular" actors being able to do credit. Maybe a few could be filled by the very models that do the covers. Afterall, they are used as a basis when we read the books they grace.

I don't think Hollywood does any story justice. You watch a movie based off of a book then read that book and find things that would have made the movie better or the book is completly different from the moive. If they were to ever make one of these books in to a movie they would just take it and completely destory the story.

Actually, I think there may be hope for Hollywood. There was an interview with the lady who writes Harry Potter. She said that they have really stuck to her books. If they can do that once, they MIGHT be able to do it again. I'm just not going to hold my breath.

They have some what but there are still parts left out. I read the first book and found out that Proffessor Snap actually tried protecting Harry another time durning another Quitich match. But that match wasn't even in the movie.

As for actors playing the Carpathians only one springs to mind and that is Hugh Jackman he looks gorgeous as Van Helsing long hair and leather. Being a great reader I am always disappointed with the movie version. The Harry Potter books are great but the movie just didn't do anything for me. Wouldn't mind them trying though

LOL about my long haired vixen on the side. I know she had short hair, but I like long hair and so voila she grew it long! LOL When I was reading Dark Desire they add an error. I had the new cover book and first they said her eyes were green. Then a few chapters later when she is with Jacques they say blue. And then a few pages later they say emerald again!

Sometimes it gets hard to remember what the character looks like. I am a writer and get that all the time. My character starts out blond haird and blue eyed then black hair and green eyed suddenly. The name thing could have been the same thing.

Then there's the inconsistancy of the cover hero having blond hair and in the book he has black hair (or vice versa). It would be nice if the character description and the cover model could at least look SIMULAR. But, yeah, I'll get get so caught up in the book's story that sometimes, in my mind, they are mostly faceless anyway.
