What was the first Dark book you ever read? Did someone introduce you to the series or did you come across it on your own? My first Dark book was Dark Legend and since then I have read every single one that has come out.

A friend and I went to the UBS about 3 1/2 years ago and came across Dark Desire and a couple of other Dark book. I liked the back synopses so much that I spent a fortune buying the rest of the books. I did this without even readin a single book. I like starting from the beginning. Luckily hubby was out to sea and did not see how much I spent on these books. LOL I read Dark Prince and fell in love with the series. I have all of her books now.

The first one I read was Dark Legend, when it first came out. I ordered it from Science Fictio nBook Club, and I loved the book. But I didn't read another one until Dark Secret, I recognized the author's name from when I bought Dark Legend, and I got the book. It was after that I discovered she had several other books and I began buying them all. I got hooked on her Dark books, and when I finished those, someone suggested I try Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter books, which I did. Well I went through those like water, and still wanted more, so I began reading other Feehan books, and soon had read all of her books, now I am hooked on all her series!

Hello Bristow.... Welcome. It is always a pleasure to see new members raising there voice! The first dark book I ever read was Dark Legend as well - I was glancing through books at the local library, picked it up read the back and rced home to read the book. I was hooked from the first page!
Consequently I raided the library for any other volumes - needless to say there were none and so to the bookstore I went and left with forty-sumthing worth of Darkseries books.
From there I branched out to other books/series CF had written, and now I can't wait for the next book! It was in the in-between period that I discover SK & LKH and became addicted there as well - but above all CF is still tops.

I would have to say I rate them pretty equal. There are things about each one that I like, so it's hard to choose one over the other. I would love a chance to meet Christine though. I was already lucky enough to get a chance to meet Sherri, and I will be going back to see her again in a few days. That is if everything goes as planned.

I would love to get to see both of them. I am going to try really hard to get to the DC signing in May for SK. We will have to see how everyones schedule is that week though. We always have something going on with baseball or scouts or some school thing.

Christine in person is rather shy - but willing to talk to you about any of her series. Its perhaps the one thing I noticed most when I did meet her - she's willing to 'talk' with her fans... Other authors I met were not so inclined.

lol that's an understatement!! .. I think if Sherri had more time she would have sat there and talked on and on and on!! If there hadn't of been so many people in line behind me, we could probably have talked for an hour no problem!

I think the best authers are the one who are willing to talk to there fans. I mean if it wasn't for us they wouldn't be where they are today.

Thisis true, it's the same for actors too, but I have noticed that they are more distanced from their fans, they aren't as willing to sit with them, talk, sign autographs, and whatnot. Writers are more down to earth people than actors are. I think they both reach as many people, but actors are more visible, which isn't much of an excuse to be as stuck up as some of them are.

I understand why some of them are not as nice as they should be though. I mean with reporters hounding them all of the time. If I did get a minute to myself I might not be nice to a fan that was trying to get an autograph while I was at a nice quiet dinner with my family.
