Hi, guys. I was just wondering what that Carpathian word Dimitri said to Skyler when he was going to talk to Gabriel, Byron and Mikhail about the vampire that attacked Skyler. He called her something in Carpathian, nut I check in the Carpathian Language Appendix, and couldn't find it. Anybody know what it means? It's when Skyler and Josef are in Byron and Antoinetta's house. Thanks for the help!!!!!

It was also in Oceans of Fire, if you remember, in a couple of scenes with Abby and Aleksandr .. it's a Russian endearment from as near as I can figure out, but I don't have a direct translation to what it is.

well I tried like mad to find a russian translator on line when I created Daciana, and all I could find were ones that gave you the words in russian, not in english, so if you can find one that gives you the words in english, PLEASE send it to me!!! That is one of the phrases I tried to translate from Oceans of Fire, there were a couple others, along with some common words I wanted to use in Daciana's prologue, but I gave up on them because I couldn't get them translated.

Well, in AltaVista.com there is a translator called babelfish that can translate Russian to English, but the bad news is that I tried that phrase (that Dimitri says to Skyler), and it didn't recognize it. I think that was a Carpathian endearment. Not Russian.

In Oceans of Fire, Aleksandr calls Abbey "lyubof maya" in the first chapter, so it's definitely not Carpathian. It's got to be equvalent to "my love" or "sweetheart" or something close to that.
