Hi Everybody, I've just finished reading 'Dark Celebration', and I need some help with the Carpathian language. In the chapter where Skyler and Josef seek safety at Byron and Antoinetta's house, there's a tense stand-off between Gabriel et al. and Dmitri. Dmitri uses his blood bond to speak to Skyler and calls her 'lyoba maya' (misspelt, can't remember exact letters). I couldn't find it in the dictionary in the appendix, does anyone one know what this means? I can't wait for 'Dark Possession', or for Skyler and Dmitri's book... Thank you!

Thank you, Ailenia, you're a star! I have only read the 'Dark Series', on recommendation by my best friend, so I am not familiar with the other books by Christine Feehan. (Although a little bird tells me I'm getting the first book in the 'Drake Sisters' and 'Leopards' series, as a Christmas present...) Is 'Oceans of Fire' part of the 'Drake Sisters'?

Hi
Just read 'Oceans of Fire', and Abby tells Aleksandr not to call her 'my love' in response to 'lyubof maya'.
This series is fab, but my heart still belongs to the Carpathians ;D

me too. I have yet to read the ghostwalkers series and I most of the Drakes but Carpathians are still my favorite. I think they are really original, no one else has ever made a story like the Carpathian one.
