Does anyone think that the jaguar that attacked Manolito was Solange? I haven't read Dark Hunger yet, so I don't know much about her except that she could be considered a Jaguar Princess, and that she is very fiesty I believe, and due to the Jaguar male problem she destestes men. Attacking an unknown male who reeks of power and danger may be something she would do, in that she thought he was in her territory to harm her or Jasemine. Also what does she look like, and do you think the the Dark Mage has truly found a way to resurrect the Carpathians deceased enemies? It may just be the vampire poison causing Manolito to think that, but if they have we're in for a mess of trouble. Hm...I didn't even think that it could be Solange...that certainly adds a twist! I liked her in Dark Hunger, but I'm just finishing it up so I don't really know too much about her. What does she look like? Er...long legs, really curvy, pretty, tough, black hair, and I'm not sure what color jaguar she is. I really hope that the mage isn't resurrecting vampires! That would be too much for me to handle, lol. I got the feeling that it was just an illusion brought on by the poison, though. Who knows?

I'd have to say it was the poison and the fact that he's away from his lifemate, but I could be wrong. I guess we'll never know till we get the book.
though I don't know how long I can wait with out going crazy...LOL

:'(I think I'm going on meltdown till Dark Possession is released, I am a complete Dark Series fanatic. What I also wonder how did they transport Manolito from the Carpathian Mountians to the rainforest? I thought when someone was as injured as he was, that they have to stay in the ground and not be moved for many days. And I would think his brothers would guarding his resting place to protect him from their enemies. So many unanswered questions .

I thnk its a combonation of trickery/poison...and the fact Monolito (Manuel) was so close to death, and STILL hasn't recovered... According to his "brother" he should still be in the soil asleep...
When the jaguar attacked I was thinking too that it might be Solange....Guess I will have to wait and see... Or maybe its Rhiorden.

However you have to remember that there are still male jagulars still around too, and they are territorial people.

Hey, it might have been Jasmine. Due to the trauma she suffered at the hands of men she is very sensitive. She might attack some unknown male who seems to be a threat, because she thought he was going to hurt her. Remember Joie's mother? She was abused and she mistakenly attack Gary because she smelled his Jaguar blood. When people go through things like rape, their minds are messed up, and they can act violently when they feel threatened.

wow what a great perspective on this .... unfortunately we have to wait to see who it may have been but you give a great thought process to what the outcome might be.

What I want to see is how MaryAnn is going to deal with the knowledge she is his lifemate. Since he didn't acknowledge their relantionship at the party, she may think he didn't want kinda like Francesca thought about Gabriel before he sat her straight. However, in Manolito's defense I can understand his reasons for not doing so. The attacks were focused all on the lifemated women hit their worse fears along with their lifemates. If the Dark Mage knew that MaryAnn was a lifemate he would have attacked her and played on Man's greatest fear: losing her. For the safety of himself, his people, and the woman he loves he couldn't have acknowledged he no matter how much he wanted to. I don't even think Dimitri planned on reveling himself to Skyler, until she was older, because it said he already knew she was his lifemate long before, and he didn't want to trigger his demon's need for its mate. Only when Skyler was in severve danger, and it seemed to Dimitri she wasn't being protected well enough by the others did he appear and proclaim she was his lifemate.

I imagine MaryAnn will completely refuse Manolito, which will probably turn his world upside-down. Then again, he's probably prepared for her to fight. On Christine's site it says that she has a can of bug spray and a cannister of pepper spray. Wouldn't you love to see her try to use it on him? He's either going to snatch it from her before she couldn blink, or she's going to actually spray him and he's not going to even flinch, which will only freak her out more. Her reactions in this book are going to be really amusing, if Christine's author's notes are any clue. Lots and lots of tension. One of my favorite parts in her Dark Books is the First Kiss--it needs capital letters. Can't wait for this one!

;D ;D ;D I didn't even think of that Earth! LOL Poor Manolito has been attacked by a burrow monster, trapped under the earth, stabbed by a possessed old woman with a poison cane, brought back from the dead perhaps, faced a thousand hallucinations of deceased vampires, is extremely in need of blood, attacked by a jaguar, and now he'll have to deal with his mad lifemate and her two can of pepper spray and bug spray! ;D ;D ;D Poor Mano is just going to drop dead from all this stress soon!

Poor guy, he's really going to need a hug when all this is over *waggles brows* . MaryAnn will probably use every single tool she has against him--and by tools, I mean weapons, lmao. The poor thing will have his jaw on the floor . He'll be going to his younger brothers for help! Which guy, Skyler, the guy in my banner?
