There was one more very important thing I've forgotten to mention in Manolito's very long list of things to deal with: Destiny. She considers MaryAnn to be not only her best friend, but her sister. When she finds out that Manolito concocted this grand plan on luring MaryAnn to the rain forest, and almost getting himself killed before he could accomplish she might as Nicolae put it go ballistic. And she'll tell Nicolae, who tell Vikirknoff, who tell Natalya, who tell her niece Colby, who tell Rafael, who tell Riordan, who relate the news to Juliette. Lord, will Manolito even get to find some peace and quiet so that he can claim MaryAnn? LOL I could just see Destiny playing interrogator to Manolito as she quizzes him on his "intentions" toward MaryAnn! ;D Should be hirlirous!

Oh man, I forgot! Destiny is going to be vicious when she discovers his schemes! Especially when she finds out that he's taking advantage of the fact that she's a women's therapist. Destiny won't stand for that! She might be somewhat tolerant otherwise--might being the key word.
It's funny how all of those Carpathians you mentioned are connected like that. Nothing will be private among the Von Shreider/ De La Cruz family!

OH boy that is so true! Destiny is going to hit the roof! She is going to be so mad at him for tricking her best friend!

Yes, I can see Destiny being mad at first, but if she sees that Manolito is a loving and supportive lifemate to MaryAnn, I'm sure she'll approve of him. On the plus side, I know she'll be happy she won't lose MaryAnn to human aging, and they'll get to be with each other in all the coming centuries. I can even see Nicolae and her buying/building a home in Brazil near the De La Cruz ranch so they can have long visits with their relatives. ;D I could just see a big family reuion Von Shreider/De La Cruz style!

Hey, it's me REDstar, signing on after so many days! I've really missed talking on this site so I'll probaly rattle on and on to make up for lost time! LOL! Well, on the De La Cruz family, Manolito, Rafael, and Riordan, have all found their lifemates, so that leaves Nicholas and Zacarias to find theirs. Any ideas who they may be? In Dark Secret, Nicholas really caught my eye with that cool, dark, utterly confident personality of his, yet I also saw how deeply he cared about his family, like when he helped Rafael and stayed with Colby knowing what the separation from his brother would do to her sanity. I also thought Paul's teasing him about his zero knowledge of women very funny. ;D What I really thought was interesting was him saying his woman will do exactly what she's suppose to, and Colby retorting that she hopes his woman is an Amazon. If this is a hint from the Queen of Carpathians, I think that means that Juliette's cousian Solange will be his lifemate. From what I hear she's more than able to handle Nicholas, and besides I hear she's pretty fiesty, so it would be cool to see them going head-to-head. ;D ;D ;D And then there's the elusive Zacarias, and I know his story will definitly be interesting. From the series, we understand that he's the the oldest and strongest of the five brothers, and the one they all deffer to. LOL I can only imagine what how big his ego is! Since he'll need a very strong and very capable woman (What Carpathian male doesn't), I was thinking one of the Drangonseeker aunts would be good for him. Hehe I could just see Mr. Bossy dealing with a woman who can turn into a dragon when she's mad! ;D ;D ;D Wonder if she could breath fire in that form! Poor Zach!

Oooh, now Solange as Nicolas' lifemate would be GREAT. Yet another funny book right there ^_^

I know what you mean Earth, seeing that Carpathian male and that Jaguar Princess get together would be hirlarious. Since it's said Solange has a real problem with men, especially very dominate men, it could just see the fur flying if Nicholas claimed her! LOL She would drive him insane, and make him want to pull his hair out! ;D ;D And all the while, his brothers would be smirking and teasing him about his so-called "biddable" woman! Hahahahaha!

Has anyone been on Amazon.com researching Dark Possession lately? If you haven't, you may want to go and read a certain review written by Publisher's Weekly on the newest book in our beloved Dark Series. It goes further into detail about the story and questions something very surprising about MaryAnn's heritage. I don't know how reliable it is, but if anyone wants to see it, go to the site.

REDstar again with a warning. The review might be considered a spolier, and I don't want to mislead anyone into finding out some information they don't want to hear right away. So read only if you dare.

Well Earth, since we wouldn't want to give anything away, I have something else I would like to discuss with the group. I have been closely read the series lately, and I seems to me that fledgling Carpathian women are developing skills and talents on par with Ancient women like Francesca, Syndil, Desari, and Natalya. For example in DC, Raven tells Skyler not to doubt her own power, because due to the mind link with their lifemates. she and the other women learned the skills that are so necessary to their race at a much earlier age. And I believe she's right.
In DC, Tempest shapeshifts on the run without needing Darius to hold the image for her; in Dark Magic, Savannah can mask her presence from humans and the undead as good as Gregori; in Dark Destiny, Destiny has the skills of Ancient Vampire Hunter when she is still a fledgeling; and during the battle in Dark Demon, we see Raven and Sara calling down the lighting like the Ancients can. Also, I've seen instinces were the human women due to their strong wills can overcome the deep sleep their lifemates put them in. My guess explaining this phenomenone is that Nature is having the Carpathian women reach not only sexually maturity faster, but gain their powers faster, so they deal with the coming battle with the forces of evil. We know that the bad guys are getting stronger by the day, so we need everyone to be as powerful as they can to fight them. What do you all think?

WOW. This thread is both funny and intriguing.
I think it is a possibility that Manolito is still in the Carpathian Mountains, but he is hallucinating that he is back in Brazil, or if he is in Brazil, his brother's moved him there. I do believe it is actually Riordan that is speaking to him too, which would makes sense since Riordan really doesn't know that Manolito has a lifemate since Manolito purposefully withheld that information from his brothers, and Manolito obviously can't remember that this is what happened. He knows he has a lifemate, but not that he has secreted it from everyone.
The jaguar could be male or could be female...perhaps it will be a male and Jasmine and/or Solange will rescue Manolito from him with (or without) Riordan's help, which could bring him into contact with MaryAnn since she could already be in Brazil counseling the women.
It might be a fun kink in his well-laid plan to lure MaryAnn to South America so he can have his way with her unheaded by the interference of others? Then again I haven't read the possible spoiler on Amazon yet either, and I may not, at least not until right before the book comes out...

I think that the women are getting their powers more quickly is because they drink the blood of their lifemates so often and the men are very ancient. so they have ancient blood flowing through them constantly! I bet that has a lot to do with it!
Oh and is anyone else wondering when we are going to get a trailer for this book! I want a trailer! The book is due out in less then a month!

You have a good point Cynthia. Since most of the women never drink any blood but the powerful, ancient blood of their lifemates, which all know is far more powerful than the blood of humans or young Carpathians, and since they share such a strong mindlink with their men, which inables them to process and learn skills that it took their lifemates lifetimes to learn, it isn't at all strange that their powers are developing so quickly. Good thing too, because my inscints tell me that all the women will play an important role in destroying Xavier and Razvan, and that they'll need every bit of strenght and power to do it. ;D Plus, they have to be in tip-top shape so they can drive their lifemates insane, not that they don't do a good job of that already! And yes, Christine Feehan's website does need to upload that trailer soon! Obiviously, the Queen of Carpathians gets sick injoyment in watching us cry and moan for her stories.

LBlue, I didn't even consider that he could be in the Carpathian Mountains still...that would be interesting. I mean, how could they have really moved him? Then again, it would speed things up if we were in South America already and so was MaryAnn. I just hope that Manolito heals fairly quickly, I don't want him injured and--ahem--incapable for a long time like Vikirnoff was, hehe.
Completely agree with you ladies on both fronts: 1) I was actually going to mention that they're taking Ancient blood on a regular basis so they must be stronger, and 2) I am DYING for this trailer to come out! I've made CF's site a hotkey online so that I can check it practically every single second. This is killing me! Maybe she's trying to make the trailer super good and that's why it's taking so long. Eeep, I need more updates!
