So do I. Dimitri's such a sweetheart by nature, and he and Skyler deserve their chance at happiness.

Well, from Slavicas profile on the Member Only section it seems quite obvious now that the book will face Dominic. *Jumping and clasping Hands*

;D Whoo! I love seeing more of Dominic, cause to me he's one of the most mysterious Carpathian males, so it's always great when we get an appearence from him. I wonder if he'll reveal that he's undercover to Razvan and Ivory, or will he still fake he's a vamp, and maybe even fight them to perserve his cover? We can also see how he's dealing with the effects of the toxic vampire blood running through his veins now.

I don´t think Razvan and Ivory will run into Dominic yet; he left directly after taking the vampire´s blood so the others can start the rumors of his turning. And it might very well be necessary to fight them in some way to preserve his cover ...

Well if they don't run into Dominic, yet, maybe they'll get clues about him in this book, or even better they have some run-ins with the vampires, and Dominic, who secretly nereby, helps them defeat them, without Ivory or Razvan knowing, thus perserving his cover, but still being there for his family. Do you think Dominic has somehow learned that Tatijana and Branislava were set free in Dark Curse, I'm sure it's big news not only in the Carpathian World, but also among the vampires.

I dont think this has been posted yet, but please correct me if I am wrong.
This is Chapter 1 of what we call "THe Lost Dark Book" This was once on Christine's web site.......It's about Tariq..... [this was posted by a long-time member of CF's fans, who goes by the name Slavica "Carpathian Healer" Kukich-Ostojic on her website. aka, this was not originally my post].
Chapter One
There were all kinds of way to hunt for his quarry. Tariq Asenguard stared down from his balcony at the masses of people below. He had long ago converted the palatial theater into a dance club to bring in the crowds. It was easy to hunt in the confines of the building with so many bodies packed in close. He could scan minds for news of bizarre killings signaling the possibility of a vampire entering his city. He could use the eager men or women for sustenance when he was in need. It was easy enough to portray the image of the city’s resident playboy with a woman on either arm.
But now, everything had changed. Now his will was bent toward one thing only, finding her. She was here, in this city. He knew she was very close, yet she eluded him time and again. His soul, his other half, his lifemate. She was in his city.
Tariq had exceptional hunting skills, well proven over the centuries, yet the woman, a human, time and time again managed to escape his piercing gaze. He hadn’t even caught her scent. More than once, he felt her close, a ripple in the universe, the ground moving beneath his feet, or the air around him suddenly coming alive with electricity, yet she had managed to slip away.
His fingers gripped the thick, hand carved banister, the enormous pressure leaving indentations into the hard wood. He leaned down to survey the dancers pressed so close together on the various floors. His patience was growing thin. She was defying him. He knew she felt his calls. How could she not? He whispered to her all night, soft words to draw her to him. He allowed the beat of the music to pulse into the night, sending a web of notes to lead her back to him, yet she eluded his every net.
He would never stop until he had her in his hands. She didn’t understand that about him. He was as relentless and as merciless as the raging sea. There was no stopping him once he had his prey in sight. He was Carpathian, hunter of the vampire and he had survived when most of his kind had long ago succumbed to the lure of power. He had done his duty to his Prince and people, keeping his assigned region clean and safe from the stench of evil and now he sensed her near him. Knew she was close, yet always elusive, always just out of reach. He had turned his hunting instincts, honed by centuries of strategy to finding her.
Tariq sighed and moved back into the shadows where he belonged. Where he was comfortable. The night belonged to him. The noise and pounding music of the club could have been an assault on his sensitive ears but he turned down the volume with the same casual ease he did everything. She wasn’t in the club. To his knowledge she had been inside the building only once. He had felt her presence and moved quickly, a swift blur as only his kind could manage, his gaze sharp as he sorted through the hundreds of bodies gyrating on the various dance floors. The Palace was three stories high every dance floor packed to the maximum. She had escaped before he could pinpoint her exact location.
Tariq paced along the balcony overlooking the floor. It was impossible to be seen, yet he could see everything. He knew she was close, just out of reach by the way his emotions, long ago gone, slipped in unexpectedly to disrupt his calm, logical thinking. She had to have a strong mind to block out the many times he scanned areas of the city in search of her. She was very strong to be able to defy his commands. He was a powerful being, one very used to getting his way with the minimum amount of effort. He had survived centuries of battles, centuries of no emotions, no color. Always the insidious whispers of the call to evil, to power tempted him, yet he had endured for one reason. A woman. The one woman. His lifemate. Other half to his soul. Only she could restore his world, his life as it was meant to be. He had long ago resigned himself to his fate, endurance in a bleak, harsh world until the temptation of power was too strong. Yet now, when he was so near the end, he sensed her presence the ripple of hope in a world of emptiness.
He turned away from the blaring music and the scent of blood running hot in veins. It was a heady temptation he fought continually. Irritated at his inability to find her when she was so close, he wanted to roar his frustration to the night sky. He needed air, needed to go outside and breath. He turned away from the balcony and as he did so, he caught a glimpse of three men sitting together in the bar of the West Coast Swing room. Tariq paused, his heart beginning to pound in time to the rhythm of the music. His mouth went dry. He turned back to lean his hip against the railing to listen to their conversation with no real idea why he did so, only that every cell in his body reached toward those men.
There’s only one person in this city, in the entire State qualified to do that kind of restoration, one man said.
Tariq leaned closer, watched as the stranger took a long pull of his beer. Nails dug deep, curved into thick talons. A strange roaring filled his head. Music paused on all floors. The breath slammed out of his lungs and his heart stopped beating. Waiting. The man set the beer mug down. Charlie Vintage. She’s the person you need.
Blood burst through his veins in a dizzying rush of adrenaline and triumph. And then he had her name. The simplest things could have enormous consequences.
If I remember the story correctly, CF had written part of Tariq's story on her laptop, and then the computer was damaged and she lost it all.

Apparently Christine´s granddaughter Skyler Rose played around with her computer and erased the chapter she had started on ... . But she says the story still has potential and might be restarted. ;D

Here´s a glimpse at things to come, Christine posted it on the Members Only section:
Christine Feehan: Zacarias is definitely wanting his story told and is slowly growing impatient with me which is a good thing. At first he was very quiet, but he's grown louder and much more demanding lately so yes, he'll get his story. I have a plan for the lycans, but like all things, it takes awhile to develop! Dark Slayer was a magical book to write. The story just flowed. I loved writing every single day! (which is not always the case) rofl

It will be cool to hear more about the lycan race, and it would be epecially great if we got Zacarias's story soon. He's always only been this strong, dark, commanding voice that's been tossing out orders and observations, in everyone's heads, and I'd love to actually see him in person, and see how he interacts with everyone around him, especially his lifemate. I think when it comes to Zac are gonna have one very complex Carpathian male on our hands.

Oh yes, Zacarias will really be some complex man ... even his powerful brothers submit to him. He´ll need one strong woman to shake him up. He´s probably so used to look out for everyone he doesn´t know anymore how to let go ...

True. I think Zacarias and Dominic are two of the most complex and mysterious Carpathian males in the series. I guess it comes from being so ancient and powerful, along with their responsiblities as heads of their families. And I agree, Zac will need a strong woman, who can deal with his darker and dominate side, but at the sametime, understand him enough, to realize why he is the way he is, and except him, and along with shouldering some of the burden of being head of the family. I think having someone look out for HIS welfare for a change, would be good for him. Not that his brothers don't, but still, I think there are times when being head of the De La Cruz Family really weighs down on him, and he needs someone to share his fears and responsiblities with.

Yes, I think Zacarias really needs a woman with a huge patience ready to care for him. He always stood in front of his brothers, mostly hunting the vampires to protect them, preventing them from turning, knowing he pushes himself further and further - basically he gave himself up for them. He´s one of the men closest to turning we met yet, that´s quite sure. And when he has his emotions back - first, probably, hell´s going to break loose! And I can see his brothers getting back at him not being able to keep his lifemate in line, ya´ know ...

A lot of patience is a definit when it comes to being the lifemate of Zacarias De La Cruz, along with being strong enough within yourself to handle a man like him. And yes, I'm sure his brothers will tease big, bad, Zacarias, for not laying down the law when it comes to his lifeamate. LOL ;D But you know, the truth is all Carpathian males are whipped when it comes to thier women, and they know it! LOL
