Aww. I would hate it if one of my kids went so far away for school. Even when they are older.

yeah, thats not easy... it was worth him going there since a company hired him and is paying his way for the school and the rent for where he is living...and it is just temporary but still he is across the world for her.

I am sure he will... He was top of his class in everything he did.
When we do get a chance (money) to start working on our room again I am going to have to come up with a solution to do something with my books... so I can put them all together and in order.

That is great.
My new rooms layout isn't great for my bookshelves so I have to figure out where to put them.

Yes you do. I got that but the common areas are not as big as the last house. The bedrooms are a lot bigger.

I have a few friends in the same situation. One friend has a son in 7th grade and she wants to move before he starts high school. We both went to that high school but it has gotten really bad over the year. So hopefully she gets the money to fix up her house to sell soon.

is there a chance she can take him to another school with open enrollment?? that is what I would do.
I cant imagine when we can move--we have so much still to do for this house, and the market is so bad that the houses arent worth what people paid for them in the last 5 yrs... so we have to wait until the market goes back up and then what we owe on the houses will match up again to what they are worth. -- so we have that, work to do on the house, and then we have to get a few more things paid off/caught up before we could even consider. --but I do look forward to that day...LOL

They don't do much of that in that area. Plus her son is having a hard time in some subjects and a lot of school will look at that and think well we don't want him lowering our test scores. I know mean but true.
I really hope the market goes up in the next couple of years for you.

they say it will return but it will take a couple years... at least I have good neighbors and I love the school district... so for that I am willing to stick it out and make the best of it for now.
even if that means getting rid of a few more things to make room here... and see what else we can do to the house. --granted there are lots we could do if we had money --and there is still lots to do.
