well Zoey is only 12 wks old. but we have to get her declawed and fixed... I hope we can do it soon, not sure how much it will cost so that is a big issue right now... but for now, she jumps on everything and uses her claws to hold her self to everything -- I have visions of everything being shredded until we get her declawed.
she seems to have attached herself to caitlyn though, which surprises me.... where ever caitlyn is, zoey is 2 steps behind....LOL

ugh Darklover... look at other options than declawing. I have 2 cats and I use softpaws on them and it works wonders! Their site is: www.softpaws.com. Declawing can be extremely traumatic and painful for the kitten.

I hope you can get her fixed soon.

we did look into softpaws but that is an upkeep thing and money is super tight -- I mean finding extra money for the cat food/kitty liter is not going to be easy.
we had a cat similar to zoey before, his name was benjamin....same print/color but a boy...and we never got him declawed, he was super good about us clipping his nails..and we had money back then -- lots more --even a savings account...LMAO.. and we use to buy him toys, scratch posts, and everything -- but now I am worried about the kids -- my furniture is all hand me down stuff -- I really have no attachment to it and dont care what happens to that -- but the kids is my concern.
I am not sure what we will do, she does have to get fixed soon... and money is going to be a big issue right now.
oh my gosh Cyn, you should see it --it really is so cute, when caitlyn takes a nap, so does zoey and right next to her....she even went on her bed last night....we were shocked.

Normally cats/kittens are good with kids. As for fixed. Do you all have a humane society near you? Many times they offer the service for a reduced fee. Its just a suggestion. I have 2 cats and it is an upkeep but one I don't mind. I buy the stuff maybe once every 6mths.

Well I hope you can figure out something to do with her nails before she scratches the kids. Or that she learns not to scratch people.
It sounds adorable.

I think Zoey has really gotten use to Caitlyn because she is home all day and max is gone at school most of the day --and she is super gentle with kitten so that hasnt been a problem yet with any scratching there... zoey has scratched max but he is alot more rough with her.
we have a humane society --actually 2 that I know of, not right around the corner but one is closer than the other...thanks for the suggestion...when we had Benjamin fixed it was through my SIL vet --she has a very good one and they are awesome at finding a bargain price for everything ....which is why I thought we might have her suggest one
we also have a vet right around the corner here --well between our house and hubbys work and they are highly raved about here --so I told hubby to go in one day and ask them what they would charge.
I will try to post some more pics of her soon... as it is she sleeps alot right now ....LOL

That is great she is being so good for Caitlyn.
I told my friend the same thing. To call the humane society or the SPCA and ask them about getting her dog fixed. She got a new puppy so she now has 2 unfixed dogs. On female and one male!
